Maria has been appointed as an independent delay expert for matters across the Energy and Power Generation (nuclear, wind, solar, coal and gas), offshore and onshore Oil & Gas, Process, Shipbuilding, FPSO, Subsea, Civil Engineering, Residential and Commercial Buildings (including high rise), Water, Infrastructure (rail, tunnelling, airports, and roads) sectors.

Maria has acted as an expert witness in international arbitration, domestic adjudication and mediation proceedings. She has experience under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), 2013 UNCITRAL, London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) Arbitration Rules.

Her extensive international experience includes working with a variety of contract forms, including FIDIC, ICE, JCT and NEC, and she has expert knowledge of a variety of planning tools, including Primavera P6 and Asta Powerproject.

Prior to joining the dispute resolution industry, Maria worked for engineering firms as structural designer and project manager. She also spent approximately 15 years in the contracting sector in various roles, including construction manager, planning manager and commercial manager across different regions of the world. This background has equipped her with strong, hands-on, and in-depth knowledge of construction procurement and delivery.

Maria also provides advisory expert services on a range of planning/ programming and forensic scheduling. She has experience in most forms of procurement including Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), traditional, lump sum and reimbursable.

Maria’s work is applied not only to formal dispute resolution proceedings but also for risk assessment and negotiated settlements. She has advised clients on dispute resolution processes and provided case-management for these.
